WORLD CHAMPION JOEY CHESTNUT TO DEFEND BRAT-EATING CROWN AT OKTOBERFEST ZINZINNATI
Joey “Jaws” Chestnut, the top-ranked competitive eater in the world, will return to Oktoberfest Zinzinnati®, presented by Samuel Adams, on Sunday, September 19, to defend his crown at the annual World Brat-Eating Championship on the Braxton Stage at Third and Walnut Streets in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Chestnut, the nine-time champion of the contest, will seek to break his world record of an astounding 70 brats in 10 minutes.
“We are pleased to be back at America’s largest Oktoberfest,” said Major League Eating emcee Sam Barclay. “Chestnut faces fierce competition for the Brat-Eating Champion title this year.”
More than 80,000 bratwurst are consumed at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati each year. If placed end-to-end they would equal the length of 29 Empire State Buildings. The event will be held Sunday, Sept.19, at 4 P.M. For more information and a schedule of events, visit www.OktoberfestZinzinnati.com
