Luke Combs’ Wife Nicole Reveals How Son Got His Name
Luke Combs and wife Nicole welcomed their first child, a boy named Tex Lawrence, on June 19. Now, a few weeks after welcoming their new addition, Nicole is sharing details about Tex, as well as insights into parenting.
Nicole answered multiple questions about Tex and her motherhood journey so far through a Q&A on her Instagram stories on July 6. When one fan asked what inspired their son’s unique name, Nicole shared that the name has family ties.
“Tex — Luke’s great uncle’s name. Lawrence — my dad’s name,” she shares.
Nicole teased that their baby’s name might be influenced by family about a month before she gave birth. In an Instagram Q&A from May, Nicole said they would “most likely” give their son a family name.
Nicole shared many other details throughout the Q&A session, including if she’s nursing or pumping (“nursing on demand,” she answered), what her favorite baby products are (Owlet and Snoo) and how much Tex weighed when he was born (7 lb., 6 oz.) She also revealed that Tex was “so close” to becoming a due date baby, but he was born one day early. She also shared the hardest part about becoming a mother so far.
“It’s crazy how sudden everything changes haha,” she writes. “No matter how much I thought I prepared for everything, I still feel underprepared. The no sleep has been the hardest part for me, but every mom & baby are different!”
Nicole also revealed how she’s doing mentally after having Tex, shining a light on the fact that many women struggle with postpartum depression and anxiety.
“Thankfully, I’ve been doing very well postpartum,” she writes. “I was VERY anxious the first night we brought him home but haven’t felt like that since. Nobody can really prepare you for the feeling of bringing a small human home that your [sic] entirely responsible for.”
Lastly, Nicole commented on whether she thinks Tex looks more like her or his dad. While she admits he most likely gets his full head of hair from both of them, her opinion on who he looks like more seems to change from day to day.
“I feel like he looks different every day!” she writes. “Today he kinda looks more like Luke if I had to pick lol.”
Combs has been busy not only with the arrival of his new son, but also with the release of his new album, Growin’ Up, which came out on June 24. The record posted the largest opening week numbers of any new country record in 2022.
STRANGER THINGS: Fans Can Now Call in an Order to Surfer Boy Pizza [PIC]
Among the unsung heroes of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 4, there stands a perpetually optimistic young stoner and his Surfer Boy Pizza van. Argyle, played excellently by Eduardo Franco, is the brand-new pizza delivery boy who balances the show’s grim final countdown with his dazed sense of humor. Recently fans have caught on to one of the show’s Easter eggs by dialing the number posted to the side of his delivery van and reporting that it does, in fact, connect to Surfer Boy Pizza!
While no doubt bingeing the show, Stranger Things fans with a sharp eye caught a telephone number on the side of the delivery van that Argyle carpools the Byers family to and fro in. Despite his curb-hopping, rubber-burning driving, someone caught the 805-45-PIZZA and dialed. According to those who got through, the number connects fans to the California-based pizza shop, and Argyle is the Surfer Boy who answers the call. All business, the caller is immediately cut off and put on hold as Argyle goes on to describe a “super specific, like weird specific” order to one of his co-workers, from the four chunks of white mozzarella to the one piece of blue cheese:
“Surfer Boy Pizza, this is Argyle speaking. We make everything fresh here at Surfer Boy, except for our pineapple, which comes from a can, but I still recommend slapping some juicy pineapple on.”

Twitter to sue Elon Musk for droping his $44 billion takeover of the company
Elon Musk responds with laughing meme to Twitter lawsuit over broken buyout. The post has a series of four photos of the Telsa founder laughing with captions that read: “They said I couldn’t buy Twitter; Then they wouldn’t disclose bot info; Now they want to force me to buy Twitter in court; Now they have to disclose bot info in court.”
Musk’s team has raised concerns over “spam bots” on the platform, and Musk wants Twitter to prove that less than 5% of its daily active users are automated spam accounts. Musk has argued that Twitter significantly underestimated the number of these “spam bots” on its service.
Santana Postpones 6 more Dates after Collapsing Onstage
Carlos Santana, who passed out onstage during a concert in Michigan earlier this week and was rushed to the hospital, has postponed the next six shows of his “Miraculous Supernatural 2022” tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. The decision was made “out of an abundance of caution for the artist’s health,” his manager, Michael Vrionis of Universal Tone Management said Friday evening. The announcement adds that all shows as planned beginning July 23rd in Paso Robles, California through the end of 2022 are still confirmed and will be performed as scheduled. A rep for Santana said the incident last week was due to serious heat exhaustion and dehydration. Last December, Santana, who turns 75 this month, underwent what his management described as an “unscheduled” heart procedure that caused the postponement of that month’s residency in Las Vegas. However, he resumed the residency the following month and in late March launched another North American tour that has continued ever since.
Amber Heard Wants Mistrial, Wrong Juror was Seated
Amber Heard has asked a judge to declare a mistrial in her ex-husband Johnny Depp’s defamation case against her, which was ruled in his favor in June. Her attorneys allege that one of the jurors wasn’t supposed to be there. The July 8th filing states that the jury panel list sent to lawyers before the trial included an individual listed as being born in 1945, making them 77, but that voter registration information also listed a 52-year-old with the same last name living at the same address. “The individual who appeared for jury duty with this name was obviously the younger one,” the documents state. “Thus, the 52-year-old…sitting on the jury for six weeks was never summoned for jury duty on April 11.” Heard’s attorney added that a “mistrial should be declared and a new trial ordered,” arguing that Heard’s legal right to due process was compromised. “It is deeply troubling for an individual not summoned for jury duty nonetheless to appear for jury duty and serve on a jury, especially in a case such as this,” the lawyer says.
