Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show – A Pekingese named Wasabi won Best in Show at the 145th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show yesterday. The reserve slot, or runner-up, was given to Bourbon the whippet. The Westminster Dog Show is the second-oldest continuous sporting event in the United States, after the Kentucky Derby. It has run through world wars, previous pandemics and economic depressions. Last year, amid the pandemic, the event was moved to June.

Scary Racetrack Crowd Accident

At least eight people are hospitalized with three in critical condition following a crash during a race at a mud track in Texas yesterday. Authorities said one of the vehicles, “due to unknown reasons,” left the track and broke through the guard rail, hitting spectators and three other vehicles.
