Ellen Barkin says Johnny Depp was “Jealous” & “Controlling”

Ellen Barkin has testified in the Johnny Depp defamation trial against his ex wife Amber Heard. She pre-recorded her testimony back in 2019 and it was played in court yesterday. The actress and Depp had a sexual relationship in the 90s. Barkin said it lasted “several months,” and they would get together “three or four times a week.” She continued, “He was drunk all the, most, a lot of the time. He was a red wine drinker.” Barkin added that he would use “hallucinogenics, cocaine, marijuana” and used it in her presence “all the time” and that “he was always drinking or smoking joints.” One time, she testified, he allegedly “threw a wine bottle across the room, the hotel room, on one instance in Las Vegas when we were shooting Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas.” She said he was a “jealous man” and “controlling,” and revealed: “I had a scratch on my back once that got him very, very angry because he insisted it came from me having sex with a person who wasn’t him.” She said he could be demanding as well.

‘Ocean’s Eleven’ Prequel with Margot Robbie in Development

A new Ocean’s Eleven film starring Margot Robbie is in “active development” at Warner Bros. Four-time Emmy winner Jay Roach is attached to direct the film, which is not yet greenlit. The proposed prequel will be set in Europe in the 1960s, but any further details are being kept under wraps. The goal is to begin production in spring 2023. Director Steven Soderbergh launched the heist franchise (based on the 1960 Rat Pack movie) with Ocean’s Eleven back in 2001. The film starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts grossed over $450M worldwide, with its success spurring additional sequels including Ocean’s Twelve (2004), Ocean’s Thirteen (2007) and 2018’s female-centric Ocean’s 8. Roach recently directed the Fox News drama Bombshell, which brought Robbie her second Oscar nomination. He was also the filmmaker behind the Meet the Parents and Austin Powers franchises. Robbie is currently in business with Warner Bros. as the star of the Barbie film from director Greta Gerwig.

South Florida Fish Found to be on Drugs

A new study in South Florida has found the fish in the waters are on drugs. Every one of the 93 fish tested had pharmaceuticals in their blood and tissue; sometimes up to 16 different drugs. Researchers say the pharmaceuticals are being ingested by the fish through human waste. When we take a prescription, the leftover medicine our body doesn’t process comes out when we go to the bathroom. That waste is sent to water treatment facilities that are not equipped to deal with pharmaceuticals.
Drugs that change moods in humans have the same effect on fish, according to Nick Castillo who just completed a three year study at Florida International University and the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust.

Ford recalls 350,000 SUVs including Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators amid fears they could catch FIRE or experience airbag failure

Ford on Thursday announced the recall of 39,013 Expedition and Navigator SUVs in the United States, built between December 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021.  The vehicles are being recalled because there have been incidents of fires breaking out beneath the hood.  Of the 16 fires, 12 happened while the SUV engines were turned off, and owners have been told to park outside.  Earlier this week they issued two other recalls, including 310,000 2016 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 trucks.  Those vehicles were recalled because of problems with airbags, including dust accumulating in the steering wheel – which causes them to disconnect.  Ford officials recently reported the company lost $3.1 billion over the past three months due to a shortage of semiconductor chips and investment in EVs.

Dave Chappelle’s attacker is charged with attempted murder for separate stabbing incident

After publicity from viral on-stage tackle, it helped a victim identify the 23-year-old.  Isaiah Lee, 23, has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing his roommate back in December.  DA George Gascón’s office is crediting the publicity surrounding Lee’s attack on Chappelle with helping the victim identify his alleged attacker.  ‘The publicity generated by the attack on Mr. Chappelle helped police solve this crime,’ said Gascón in a statement.  Lee pleaded not guilty to the stabbing charge. He is scheduled to return to court on June 2.  Lee stabbed his roommate at a ‘transitional housing apartment,’ Gascon said.
