Cincinnati Reds didn’t allow 1 hit but Still Lost to Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh won, 1–0, after taking the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning on an RBI groundout by Ke’Bryan Hayes. They recorded no hits.

The Pirates became the first team since the Dodgers to win a game without recording a hit, a feat Los Angeles pulled off on June 28, 2008. It’s only happened six times since 1901, according to MLB.com’s Sarah Langs, and just once in the past 30 years.

Red’s are currently on pace to lose 120 times this season. They are 9-26.

The Cardinals were so far ahead they sent slugger Albert Pujols to the Mound

St. Louis Cardinals routed the San Francisco Giants 15-6 on Sunday night in a game that ended with veteran slugger Albert Pujols on the mound.

Pujols, the Cardinals’ designated hitter, entered to pitch for the first time in his 22-year career in the ninth inning. He gave up a three-run homer to Luis Gonzalez and a solo shot to Joey Bart but managed to get the final three outs with plenty of margin to spare.

The 42-year-old Pujols became the oldest player to make his major league pitching debut since Lena Blackburne brought himself in to pitch at age 42 in his final big league game as a player/manager for the 1929 Chicago White Sox.

Britney Spears – and her partner Sam Asghari announced on Saturday that the singer has suffered a miscarriage, just weeks after revealing she was pregnant last month. “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy,” the couple said in a statement posted to Spears’ Instagram. “This is a devastating time for any parent. ‘Married with Children’ stars to reunite for Animated Version

An animated version of the classic sitcom Married…With Children is currently in the works with the show’s core cast — Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate and David Faustino — all set to reprise their roles in voiceover. Family Guy writer and executive producer Alex Carter is set to serve as showrunner on the project, which will be taken to potential buyers in the near future. Created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt, Married…With Children ran from 1987 to 1997 on Fox. The show was critically derided throughout its run but was a hit for the then-fledgling network, amassing 259 episodes over its 11 seasons. It currently streams on on Hulu, Peacock and Paramount Global’s Pluto TV. The animated project isn’t the first time producers have tried to revive the show. In 2014, a spinoff was developed centering on Faustino’s character, Bud Bundy, but it didn’t move forward. (And yes, you’ll still get to hear Frank Sinatra’s “Love and Marriage,” one of the original show’s signature elements, in the new version).

Buffalo shooter, 18, who killed ten disguised himself as a HOMELESS person to perform reconnaissance on supermarket the day before he carried out massacre

The teenager accused of murdering 10 people in a ‘racist hate crime‘ after firing a barrage of 50 shots at a supermarket in upstate New York conducted ‘reconnaissance’ at the store before carrying out his attack, it was revealed Sunday.

Shonnell Teague, manager of Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, claims suspected gunman Payton Gendron visited the store on Friday while disguised as a homeless person.

‘He was acting like he was homeless and needed change,’ Teague told The New York Daily News on Sunday. ‘He really was checking out the store.’

Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia confirmed the allegations, noting Gendron, 18, who lives nearly 200 miles away from Buffalo made multiple stops in the area the day before the massacre.

Brave churchgoers hogtied gunman with electrical cords and seized his two weapons after he killed one person

Worshippers at an Orange County church hog-tied a mass shooter after he went on a rampage there.   One person was killed, while at least five others were also wounded at the Presbyterian church in Laguna Woods, California, where the majority of residents are seniors.   Police say those involved ‘showed exceptional heroism and bravery in detaining the suspect’.   Gunman was said to be an Asian male in his 60s – it is not clear what, if any connection he has to the church.   Six people were struck in total by the gunfire, one of whom suffered fatal wounds and died at the scene.  Victims were adults and have been revealed to be four men aged 66, 75, 82 and 92 and one woman, aged 86.   Shooting occurred at a lunch reception honoring a former pastor of the largely Taiwanese congregation.
