The Razzies Cancel Their Bruce Willis Award

The Razzies decide to cancel their “Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in 2021” category.

“After much thought and consideration, the Razzies have made the decision to rescind the Razzie Award given to Bruce Willis, due to his recently disclosed diagnosis. If someone’s medical condition is a factor in their decision making and/or their performance, we acknowledge that it is not appropriate to give them a Razzie,”

Skippy peanut butter recall: Select products recalled because may contain steel fragments

Skippy Foods, LLC is voluntarily recalling 9,353 cases or 161,692 total pounds of select peanut butter products “due to the possibility that a limited number of jars may contain a small fragment of stainless steel from a piece of manufacturing equipment.”

According to a recall notice posted on the Food and Drug Administration website, the affected products include Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread, Reduced Fat Chunky Peanut Butter Spread and Creamy Peanut Butter Blended With Plant Protein.

The recall notice said the products were shipped to 18 states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.

• Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter: 40 ounces, “Best if Used By” dates May 4, 2023, May 5, 2023

• Skippy Reduced Fat Chunky Peanut Butter, 16.3 ounces, “Best if Used By” dates May 6, 2023, May 7, 2023
• Skippy Creamy Peanut Butter Blended With Plant Protein: 14 ounces, “Best if Used By” date May 10, 2023

Eddie Murphy To Play Godfather Of Funk George Clinton In Biopic

Eddie Murphy is in early talks to play Parliament-Funkadelic leader George Clinton in an upcoming biopic. Clinton is widely considered to be the Godfather of Funk, rivaling James Brown and Sly Stone as the foremost innovators in that musical genre. The film will tell the story of the iconic musician’s humble beginnings in North Carolina in the 1940s to the formation of his groundbreaking bands Parliament and Funkadelic and ultimately to becoming a major influence on artists of the hip-hop generation including Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Outkast and Wu-Tang Clan, among many others.

Oscars Didn’t Ask Will To Leave After Smack

Will Smith wasn’t formally asked to leave the Oscars on Sunday after slapping Chris Rock, contrary to the Academy saying he was, sources close to the situation report. Instead, Academy leadership only spoke with Smith’s reps backstage about potentially asking him to leave the Dolby Theatre. A rep then went out to speak with Smith about the matter, but didn’t actually try to remove him. So now it’s a he said she said thing.  There seems to be changes and developments to this story everyday.
