Michelle Phillips Nominated Sara Cardin
Ms. Cardin Is A Librarian & More At Dry Ridge El.
"I am nominating Sara because she should join the circus for the amount of jobs she is able to juggle!
She is a wife, mom to 2 great kids, a grad school student, new librarian, and 2/3 virtual classroom teacher.
With all of these jobs she still finds time to support her former students in our neighborhood.
She is under so much stress, but somehow holds it all together!"
William Lohrum Nominated Melissa Anne Turner
Ms. Turner Teaches 1st Grade At Thornwild El.
"Melissa lives for teaching. her students love her. Melissa this year is working at the school and virtually from home.
she also meets with individual groups every day for reading and math.
Melissa was determined to become a teacher.
While her husband was in Desert storm war Melissa was raising an infant son and going to school.
after about a year or so of actually teaching she went to night school and received her masters degree.
Melissa graduated with a 4.0. That is why I nominate my daughter Melissa.
Just a side note, her husband got home safely from the war and he has worked is way up a
Cincinnati cop to Detective. She is one terrific mom, wife and teacher. thank you for your time"
Julie Hamon Nominated Genie Langhals
Ms. Langhals Teaches 4th Grade At New Haven El.
"What does this teacher NOT do?!? She's the virtual instructor for New Haven Elementary's ENTIRE 4th grade class... and is an absolute godsend.
She's a black belt in organization, that's for certain. When I picked up my son's Math book for the first day of school, there was a magical laminated list stapled to it. It listed Every. Single. Login. he needed to do his work! Halleluiah. Even her weekly "Langhals Loot" agenda (which, by the way, she posts on SUNDAY evenings) is color coded in all its glory detailing daily agendas and corresponding Google meet times.
This hero has thought of everything. Not entirely sure how she creates them, but her assignments are educational and... wait for it... keeps my 10-year-old engaged. Her patience, understanding and empathy is beyond anything we could have ever anticipated.
You're the woman, Ms. Langhals. You deserve a Starbucks in one hand... and $1,000 in the other! And then some."
