Ford Recalls 250,000 Pickup Trucks, 330,000 Mustangs

Ford recalled 250,000 pickup trucks over loose underbody insulators that were responsible for at least 40 broken driveshafts over four years and 330,000 Mustangs over faulty backup cameras.

The truck recall affects over 223,000 F-250s made between October 2015 and December 2021 and over 23,000 F-350s made between 2017 and 2022.

Mustangs made between 2015 and 2017 over faulty backup cameras that could go blank or appear distorted, preventing drivers from seeing obstacles behind them.

Ford will notify owners by letters beginning April 4.

Former Forest Fair Mall, other buildings will be demolished if funds come through

The Butler County Land Bank has applied for $9.5 million in state funding to raze a host of local eyesores, but the bulk of the money if awarded would go to topple the former Forest Fair Mall that straddles Fairfield and Forest Park.

The state has provided $256 million for commercial and residential demolitions. The county is guaranteed $500,000, and the Butler County Land Bank has applied for $9.5 million. The bulk of the money, if approved, would go to down the old Forest Fair Mall — now called the Cincinnati Mall — along Interstate 275. The total demolition is estimated at $10.5 million and there is a $2.6 million local match the developer would pay.

“I think everybody agrees it’s been a liability for a long time, and it’s Fairfield’s gateway and Forest Park’s gateway. It just needs to be cleaned up,” Butler County Commissioner Don Dixon said. “It has some great potential so we need to help it redevelop if we can, so it can make some sales tax dollars and property tax dollars; that’s what makes government-run.” So we are getting closer to demolishing the old mall.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy shared several emotional videos from Kyiv just hours after Russian forces invaded the country of Ukraine on Thursday.  The DTWS pro broke down in tears and told followers he was heading for safety in ‘a bomb shelter’ amid growing fears Putin would attack the capital again.  On Thursday, Russian forces fired on the city of nearly 3 million residents with around two dozen attack helicopter ‘Honestly, I’m getting really emotional. It’s been a little difficult. You know me, I stay strong. And I don’t show it, but I want to go back home,’ he said.

80s Alien Sitcom ‘ALF’ Is Returning To Earth Screens

According to Deadline, Shout Factory will leverage its own multi-platform streaming service, Shout Factory TV, to bring ALF out of the archives again. The company now has rights to all 102 live-action episodes as well as all episodes of animated spin-offs ALF: The Animated Series and ALF Tales, as well as the movie Project: ALF. Shout Factory’s acquisition, which was done in partnership with Alien Productions, also includes home entertainment and digital distribution in North America—and the companies also plan to develop new ALF content in what Deadline describes as “an ‘aggressive rollout’ of pop-culture content related to ALF later this year.”

Woman Booted from Tinder for Dressing as a Clown

Jess Harkin, a woman in Ireland who works as a clown named “Kazoo,” was kicked off Tinder, apparently because all her pictures show her in full clown make-up. So that potential suitors wouldn’t be surprised, Harkin wanted to be up front by writing her profile in character as Kazoo. She was surprised to be deleted, saying, “I’ve seen girls with more makeup than this on.”  The 25-year-old single had hoped she’d meet her own “clown man.” Harkin appealed the decision to Tinder, who finally reinstated her account on Feb. 18.  However, three months after launching as Tinder’s only clown user, the dating app banned Kazoo from the site citing “activity that violates our Terms of Use,” suggesting that Harkin was using the platform as an advertisement.

Sean Penn Is Literally On The Ground In Ukraine Filming A Documentary About Russia’s Invasion

Penn, who has become an increasingly political figure in recent years, reportedly appeared at a press briefing on Thursday in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv to listen to government officials speak about the crisis.  Since his arrival in Ukraine, Penn has also visited the Office of the President and has met with deputy prime minister Iryna Vereshchuk, local journalists, and members of the Ukrainian military.  “Sean Penn is among those who support Ukraine in Ukraine today. Our country is grateful to him for such a show of courage and honesty,” the Ukrainian government said in an official statement about Penn’s arrival.
