Hereswhatssnappenin

Imagine working security at an airport, when you look inside some luggage and discover more than 300 bugs and insects.

They found 230 trapdoor spiders and tarantulas, 67 giant cockroaches, and eight scorpions inside the bag.

That’s exactly what happened at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, Colombia recently.

2 German citizens claimed they were taking the 232 spiders and tarantulas, 67 giant cockroaches, a scorpion with seven young, and nine spider eggs to Europe for “academic purposes.”

The over 300 insects were found inside 210 little plastic containers stored between rolls of film in the luggage of two German citizens.

Unfortunately, you can’t just do that. You need to have proper authorization from Colombian Officials.

The bugs were transferred to the Center for Attention and Assessment of Wild Flora and Fauna,  They will figure out whether to release or relocate the arthropods. Or Burn the whole airport down.
