I was born and raised outside Chicago, then moved to Kentucky about 6 years ago for school and absolutely love it here! I now have a mini farm with chickens, turkeys, ducks and bunnies. I play on two different pool leagues in my spare time and have gotten to go to the world qualifiers twice, but unfortunately never made it to Vegas for the big tournament. When I was younger, I went to Hodag (a country music festival in Wisconsin) and Neil McCoy pulled me up on stage with him. It was a year that they filmed a CD movie, so I got to be on that movie and keep the memories! A clip of the video can be seen below. A few years later, when I was around 16/17 years old, I went again and he remembered me and my friend and called it out during his performance. It was cool to see a big singer remember us that many years later.

What makes you a BIG B-105 fan?
I listen to B-105 every morning on my way to work, every afternoon on my way home and any time in between that I am able to. I call in any chance I get! I talk to people about the show like I have personally known you all forever. I have gotten the best opportunity recently to win beat the bear and was so excited! I understand that there are lots of people out here that probably have stickers, t-shirts, accessories, etc, but for me I believe a big fan doesn’t just come from the amount of “merch” someone has, but rather the dedication and passion to listening and the feeling of constant enjoyment when you get to tune in.
How long have you been a B-105 fan?
I have been listening for about 3 years now. My boyfriend introduced me to b-105 as that is what he grew up listening to being raised in NKY, however I was out of reach for the radio to tune in, so when living in Richmond I began to listen online any chance I could. I now live in NKY, so I am able to listen on the radio, on the app and online any time I can!
What do you like best about B-105?
I love how any time of day, whether its Big Dave and StattMan or Jesse and Anna (unfortunately I can’t always listen at work so I do not get to always hear Grover Collins), they are all able to have a conversation like the listeners are in the room with them. They are able to cover all the topics that are “in the know” along with topics and music that are new. Unlike other radio stations, I have never lost interest or attention when listening to them and can always guarantee I will have a great song selection when I drive.
What’s something you have learned from B-105?
I learned a lot from B-105, however I have specifically learned a lot from the old “Who Was Right Last Night”. I hear a lot of different topics and disagreements between partners, family etc that I have personally dealt with before, so being able to actually listen to your opinions and the listeners opinions, I am able to A. see that so many people out there go through the same things I do and feel seen, and B- am able to fully understand both sides of any argument. It has really helped me in my life as sometimes I would get so worked up over a conflict and not understand the other person’s side, but now I think “if this was brought up on B-105, what would the Big Dave show and the listeners say about it” and I realize it is not actually as big of a deal as I originally believed.
What song do you want to hear?
I love Luke Combs version of 5 Leaf Clover but its never on the radio so if you are able to play it that would be amazing!

Thank you Allison for listening and welcome to the B-105 Country Club!
